• Answers telephone, schedules appointments, and greets patients, visitors, and salespeople.
• Translates instructions to Spanish-speaking patients.
• Instructs new patients in completing information forms.
• Instructs patients on exam prep requirements.
• Verifies insurance eligibility with providers when needed.
• Files and retrieves records from x-ray storage.
• Copies films as needed and complies with subpoenas.
• Transports patients within the hospital and imaging areas.
