Job summary

DHR Health in Edinburg, TX is seeking an administrative assistant in Imaging & Diagnostics to support the clinical team and coordinate interventional procedures and patient scheduling. You will consult with radiologists and advanced practice providers as applicable.

Ideal candidates will have a High School/GED, hospital experience preferred, and strong computer skills with knowledge of medical terminology. Spanish-English bilingual ability is strongly preferred.

Qualifications

• High School/GED required.
• Hospital experience preferred.
• Must have good working knowledge of computers.
• Knowledge of medical terminology and communicate in both Spanish and English is strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assists clinical team members by performing duties for patients within the patient-focused care system and coordinates interventional procedures and scheduling.
• Consults and communicates with radiologists and advanced practice providers, when applicable.
• Schedules procedures according to policies, nursing and department staff availability, patient needs, and physician time.
• Maintains schedule and coordinates time and equipment availability, identifying conflicts and adjusting as needed.
• Answers calls from health care providers requesting expedited reports and communicates with radiologist.
