Job summary

The Halter Group is seeking a versatile HR Associate with a strong talent acquisition focus to support our multi-state workforce. This hybrid role blends full-cycle recruiting with core HR and onboarding, emphasizing sourcing for specialty trades including UVM crews and fleet roles.

You will partner with hiring managers to build pipelines, screen and interview candidates, and ensure a smooth candidate experience while traveling regionally as needed.

Qualifications

• 2+ years in recruiting, talent acquisition, or HR with success sourcing specialty trades.
• Experience sourcing niche trades such as UVM, diesel/heavy equipment, or fleet roles.
• Hands-on experience with full-cycle recruiting and ATS.
• Strong communication and relationship-building with candidates, managers, and partners.

Responsibilities

• Manage the full recruiting lifecycle from sourcing to offers.
• Partner with hiring managers to understand workforce needs and shape recruiting strategies.
• Design proactive sourcing for hard-to-fill roles (UVM field staff, diesel mechanics, fleet roles).
• Build and maintain talent pipelines across multiple locations.
• Review applications, conduct screens and interviews, and provide summaries to managers.
• Create and manage job postings and requisitions in the ATS.
• Represent the company at career fairs and schools in the region.
