Job summary

Torrey Holistics is seeking an HR Specialist to provide administrative and operational support across HR functions, ensuring accurate payroll processing and employee relations. This 90-day project has strong potential to convert to a full-time role based on performance and needs.

The role covers payroll processing in ADP, recruitment, new hire orientation, and compliance with federal/state laws, plus site-wide events coordination and general HR tasks.

Qualifications

• Associate degree required; bachelor’s degree in HR, Business, or related field preferred.
• 1–3 years of administrative experience, preferably in HR or manufacturing/industrial environments.
• Bilingual in Spanish and English required.
• Experience with ADP payroll systems preferred.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and track attendance point system.
• Prepare security badges for restricted areas.
• Generate attendance disciplinary documents and send to supervisors for review.
• Create and distribute various management reports.
• Provide customer service by answering employee inquiries.
• Conduct new hire orientation in collaboration with HR Generalist.
• Complete and maintain Form I-9 documentation.
• Maintain accurate employee records and file documentation.
• Assist with recruitment: requisition creation, postings, screening, interviews, offers.
• Audit employee records for compliance with federal and state laws.
• Assist with workplace investigations.
• Prepare new hire files.
• Support weekly and bi-weekly payroll processing in ADP.
• Assist HR Director and team with special projects.
• Process wage verifications and unemployment claims.
• Help prepare and distribute W-2s and payroll-related reports.
• Facilitate site-wide events (benefits fairs, team events, volunteer activities).
• Provide general administrative support to the HR department.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
