Job description

Overview

Our client is seeking a Bi-Lingual Benefits Administrator to own and run benefits administration as a core responsibility within a growing, multi-site organization. This is a hands-on, execution-driven role for someone who has personally owned benefits administration for multiple years and is comfortable supporting payroll in a fast-moving environment.

This position is fully onsite and plays a key role in ensuring a strong employee experience, operational accuracy, and continuity during ongoing growth and acquisitions. This is not a purely strategic role and does not involve managing a team. It is designed for someone who prefers being close to the work and accountable for outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

Benefits Administration (Primary Ownership – Required)

  • Fully own end-to-end benefits administration for at least 3+ years, including medical, dental, vision, disability, leave programs, and 401(k)
  • Hands-on experience working with both fully insured and self-insured benefit plans
  • Lead open enrollment planning, HRIS setup, execution, and post-enrollment follow-through
  • Manage carrier feeds, eligibility changes, enrollments, audits, and ongoing plan maintenance
  • Partner directly with benefits brokers and vendors on renewals, plan design discussions, issue resolution, and employee escalations
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for employee benefits questions, providing clear, confident, and accurate guidance
  • Support the evolution of benefits offerings as the organization grows, balancing cost, competitiveness, and employee needs
Payroll Support (Secondary Responsibility)
  • Support end-to-end payroll processing for a multi-entity, multi-state organization
  • Assist with payroll accuracy, adjustments, audits, garnishments, and compliance activities
  • Coordinate payroll setup related to new locations or acquired entities
  • Partner with Finance to ensure payroll data integrity and reconciliation
  • Serve as a knowledgeable resource for payroll-related questions, escalating complex issues as needed
HR Operations & Growth Support
  • Maintain accurate HRIS data and reporting related to benefits and payroll
  • Support audits, compliance reviews, and documentation requests
  • Partner with HR leadership on process improvements tied to growth and acquisitions
  • Assist with ongoing recruiting efforts as needed
Mergers & Acquisitions Support
  • Assist with benefits and payroll integration for newly acquired entities
  • Support onboarding, system alignment, and employee transitions during integrations
Qualifications
  • Spanish/English bilingual required to support employee questions and day-to-day benefits communication
  • Minimum of 3+ years of direct, hands-on ownership of benefits administration (required)
  • Experience supporting payroll in a multi-state environment
  • Strong understanding of benefits administration, open enrollment, and broker interaction
  • Proficiency with HRIS systems and Excel
  • Experience in multi-location, fast-paced, or acquisition-driven environments preferred
