Job summary

Westlake Chemical is seeking a bilingual HRBP I in California to support leaders and employees with a broad range of HR initiatives and processes. The role emphasizes employee relations, programs, and operational HR support within the client group.

The candidate will partner with leadership to administer compensation programs, onboarding, training, and policy interpretation while maintaining confidentiality and high attention to detail.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in industrial relations, Labor Relations, Human Resources, Business Administration or related field.
• 3–5 years progressive HR experience; 2+ years in a generalist/functional role with exposure to compensation, performance management, training, labor relations.
• Manufacturing experience preferred.
• Knowledge of Workday, SAP and JDE systems is expected.

Responsibilities

• Responds to inquiries about policies, procedures and programs.
• Develops knowledge of company systems (Workday, SAP, JDE).
• Recruits, interviews, and selects salaried and hourly employees for the client group.
• Conducts new employee orientation to foster a positive impression of the business unit.
• Administers salary and hourly compensation programs for equity and compliance.
• Administers leave, vacations and related reports for management.
• Prepares new hire and termination documentation; conducts exit interviews.
