Job summary

Tellepsen is hiring a Bilingual HR Generalist to support both professional and craft employees in the Greater Houston Area. This hands-on role covers employee relations, onboarding, compliance, benefits, records, and reporting, with fluency in English and Spanish essential.

The position partners with HR leadership to implement initiatives, guides managers on policies, owns onboarding, manages I-9 and eligibility processes, and maintains accurate HR data across the organization.

Qualifications

• Minimum understanding of HR policies, compliance, and benefits.
• Experience handling onboarding for professional and craft employees.
• Strong communication, organizational, and data accuracy skills.
• Bilingual English and Spanish required.

Responsibilities

• Partner with HR leadership to execute HR initiatives across professional and craft populations.
• Serve as primary day-to-day HR resource for employees and managers — guidance on policies and programs.
• Own onboarding and facilitate new-hire orientation in English and Spanish.
• Support employee relations by documenting concerns and coaching leaders on routine matters.
• Coordinate employee lifecycle transactions — promotions, pay changes, transfers, terminations — with accuracy and compliance.
• Manage Form I-9 audits and employment eligibility documentation and policy acknowledgements.
• Support HR audits, reporting, verifications, and garnishment coordination with Payroll.
• Maintain compliant employee records and HR data with sound document management.
• Provide first-level benefits support and open enrollment assistance.
• Collaborate with Payroll, Accounting, Operations, Recruiting, and Training & Development.
