Job summary

Goodwill Industries SELA is seeking an HR Assistant (Bilingual-Spanish) to provide administrative and operational support to the Human Resources Department. This role assists with onboarding, employee records management, benefits administration, and employee engagement while maintaining confidentiality and compliance with policies and laws.

The position requires fluency in English and Spanish to effectively communicate with applicants, employees, and visitors, and involves coordinating with HRIS

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required; Associate's or Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) required with ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in both languages.
• 1–2 years of experience in Human Resources or related field.
• Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).

Responsibilities

• Assist onboarding and new-hire documentation.
• Maintain employee files in HRIS and ensure data accuracy.
• Support file room coordination, audits, and retention activities.
• Provide bilingual front-desk reception and visitor support.
• Coordinate meetings, trainings, and employee events.
• Assist with benefits enrollment and employee engagement initiatives.
