Job summary

JOHN B SANFILIPPO & SON, INC is seeking a Human Resources Assistant to support HR functions and serve as a resource for employees, supervisors, and managers.

The role emphasizes Microsoft Office proficiency, strong communication, confidentiality, and teamwork; bilingual English/Spanish is highly preferred.

Starting hourly range is $18.00–$23.43; eligible for incentives and a comprehensive benefits package. This on-site position is based in Elgin, IL and reports to the HR Manager.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Associate degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
• Minimum of two years of administrative experience required.
• Prior experience in HR, Accounts Payable, or general office administration preferred.

Responsibilities

• Serves as first point of contact for employee relations inquiries at HR front desk.
• Documents employee interactions and communicates issues to HR Manager.
• Acts as liaison between employees, supervisors, and managers to resolve issues.
• Routes concerns to Payroll, Benefits, Safety or other departments.
• Assists with HR, Payroll, Benefits, Recruitment, and Safety projects.
• Maintains accurate employee data across HR information systems.
• Coordinates uniform ordering, safety shoe programs, and other admin tasks.
• Creates and manages identification badges using security access software.
• Maintains access records and badge-related requests.
