Responsibilities

• Answer incoming calls to the hospital switchboard promptly.
• Monitor and respond to alarms and codes per procedures.
• Respond calmly to emergencies and announcements.
• Announce codes according to policy; transfer calls to destinations.
• Perform overhead paging as needed.
