Job summary

Arapahoe County Early Childhood Council is seeking a SafeCare Parent Support Person (PSP) to provide the SafeCare program to families. This role includes client recruitment, home-based service delivery, and community outreach. Candidates should have an AA degree in Early Childhood Education or related field with 1-3 years of relevant experience. Bilingual skills are preferred as the position involves working with diverse families, often in challenging home environments. This full-time role requires flexibility for evening and weekend work.

Qualifications

• Experience with young children and knowledge of early childhood development.
• Comfortable delivering interventions in home or community settings.
• Ability to work some evenings and/or weekends.

Responsibilities

• Provide the SafeCare program to families in Arapahoe County.
• Recruit and retain clients in a voluntary, home-based service.
• Participate in outreach efforts to community agencies.

Skills

Bilingual (English/Spanish)

Strong verbal, interpersonal, and written communication skills

Ability to work with under-resourced families

Solid computer skills (Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook)

Education

AA degree in Early Childhood Education or related field

Bachelor’s degree preferred
