Job summary

Crosby Scholars is seeking a bilingual Hispanic Outreach Coordinator to connect the Hispanic community with educational institutions, ensuring students are informed, engaged, and supported on the path to higher education.

The role builds targeted strategies to increase program enrollment, awareness, and access to opportunities through community engagement, cultural sensitivity, and educational advocacy. Travel to schools and events is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in education, social work, communications, or related field.
• 2–4 years in community outreach, education, or nonprofit work; underserved/first-generation preferred.
• Bilingual English/Spanish; strong oral and written communication skills.
• Valid North Carolina driver's license and reliable transportation.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and data management systems.
• Experience with grant reporting, program evaluation, or data analysis preferred.

Responsibilities

• Community Engagement: Develop and implement outreach strategies to connect with Hispanic communities, including schools, community organizations, and cultural leaders to the Crosby Scholars Program.
• Event Coordination: Organize and manage events such as college and career tours, workshops, and information sessions on application processes, financial aid, and scholarships.
• Partnership Building: Establish and maintain relationships with high schools, community colleges, nonprofits, and government agencies serving Hispanic students.
• Cultural Competence: Create culturally sensitive materials in Spanish and English; ensure all communications respect and reflect Hispanic cultural values.
• Student Support: Provide guidance to prospective students on college applications, FAFSA completion, and scholarship opportunities.
• Program Evaluation: Monitor and evaluate outreach effectiveness, adjusting strategies and track information needed to support grant reporting and program impact.
