Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in education, social work, communications, or related field
• 2-4 years in community outreach, education, or nonprofit work; serving underserved/first-generation students preferred
• Bilingual in English and Spanish; strong oral and written communication abilities
• Deep understanding of Hispanic communities and cultural norms; ability to build trust with diverse groups
• Valid North Carolina driver's license and reliable transportation
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and data management systems
• Experience with grant reporting, program evaluation, or data analysis preferred
• Experience creating bilingual outreach materials and coordinating events

Responsibilities

• Community Engagement: develop outreach strategies to connect with Hispanic communities with schools and cultural leaders
• Event Coordination: organize college tours, workshops, and information sessions on aid and admissions
• Partnership Building: maintain relationships with high schools, colleges, nonprofits, and government agencies
• Cultural Competence: create materials in Spanish and English; ensure respectful communications
• Student Support: guide applicants on college applications, FAFSA, and scholarships
• Program Evaluation: monitor outreach effectiveness and support grant reporting
