Job summary

Care Options for Kids is hiring a Health Information Management Associate for our Pediatric Healthcare team in Glendale, CO. This hybrid role focuses on maintaining PHI confidentiality, accurate EMR data entry, and coordinating care through documentation and physician orders.

The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma, two years in healthcare, and fluency in Spanish and English to support families and clinicians effectively.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required.
• Two years of healthcare experience required.
• Ability to read and interpret physician orders and clinical documentation.
• Strong medical terminology knowledge.
• Must be proficient in data entry, sorting and formatting in Excel.

Responsibilities

• Provide excellent customer service in all encounters.
• Ensure PHI confidentiality and accurate EMR entry.
• Process outstanding physician documents for signature.
• Respond to questions from families, healthcare providers, and clinicians about patient records and orders.
• Document care coordination accurately in EMR for compliance with home health regulations.
• Collaborate with other departments to support positive clinical outcomes.
• Audit records for completeness and quality assurance.
• Participate in in-service education and QAPI programs.
