Job summary

Chicago Jesuit Academy in Chicago is seeking a High School Bridge Counselor for an 11-month term to support 7th–11th graders transitioning to high school and beyond. The role requires Spanish fluency, a bachelor’s degree, and at least two years of experience.

Counselors work with families, partner schools, and the HSB Team, with some evening or weekend hours. You will visit partner schools, conduct meetings, maintain confidentiality in the Salesforce database, and help alumni navigate high

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• At least two years of counseling/related experience preferred.
• Spanish fluency is required.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain relationships with partner elementary schools and families.
• Assist families in the high school application and decision-making process.
• Design and implement practices to support high school and postsecondary access for first-generation, low-income and under-represented students.
• Maintain confidentiality of student information in the HSB Salesforce database.
• Coordinate and participate in high school visits, alumni events, and community outreach.
• Support program development and outreach in collaboration with Notre Dame's Lab for Economic Opportunities.
