Job summary

HCS is seeking an experienced HHA scheduler in New York to coordinate home health aide staffing, manage referrals, and minimize overtime while ensuring timely admissions.

The role requires bilingual capabilities (Mandarin/Cantonese and Russian/Spanish/Haitian Creole) and at least 3 years in homecare or healthcare, with strong communication, coaching, and EMR skills for effective scheduling.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of progressive homecare or health care experience including staffing, employee relations, recruitment required.
• Strong written and oral communications; ability to work with diverse constituencies.
• Skilled at coaching employees at all levels within the organization.
• Excellent computer skills, EMR usage, email communication, and spreadsheet data review.

Responsibilities

• Supervises the field staff, including schedule management to minimize unscheduled shifts and overtime.
• Oversees new admissions to ensure timely referral-to-admission conversions and keeps leaders informed.
• Receives and resolves client scheduling complaints.
• Coordinates recruiting needs with Recruiting Department and participates in interviews.
• Ensures field employees receive appropriate progressive disciplinary action when needed.
• Promotes consistent caregiver/nurse scheduling to meet client needs within budget.
