Qualifications

• Bilingual Spanish-English proficiency required; ability to interpret accurately.

Responsibilities

• Maintains clear communication with staff and patients.
• Interprets conversations between staff and LEP patients accurately.
• Follows National Code of Ethics and standards of practice for interpreters in health care.
• Documents interpreting encounters clearly in the patient health record.
• Coordinates interpreting services across clinics and departments as needed.
• Translates short patient instructions and materials as directed.
