Job summary

Community Action Head Start in Hillsboro seeks a full-time Teacher - Head Start at South Meadows Middle School. The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor's in Early Childhood Education (or higher), has 2 years of experience teaching ages 3-5, and is bilingual in English and Spanish.

A Step 9 from the Oregon Registry Online and a current Oregon Central Background Registry (CBR) enrollment are required before hire.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education (or higher).
• Two years of experience teaching children ages 3-5.
• Bilingual in English and Spanish.
• Must pass background checks and TB testing before hire.

Responsibilities

• Use Creative Curriculum to plan and record weekly lessons.
• Include children with diverse needs and coordinate with specialists.
• Conduct home visits and parent conferences to engage families.
• Maintain knowledge of Head Start policies and program standards.
• Collaborate with Family Services to support family goals.
