Job summary

C.H. Robinson is seeking a Customs Specialist to protect compliance, minimize risk, and ensure smooth customs clearance for customer shipments. You will manage exceptions, government examinations, and high-impact issues while delivering service excellence and optimizing automated processes.

On-site collaboration is emphasized, with a transition to hybrid work after training, and a schedule that includes a 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. shift, Saturday through Wednesday.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2-3 years of entry-writing experience in international transportation or with AI Agents.
• Fluent in English and Spanish (written and verbal).
• Experience with automation-enabled workflows or BPO-integrated operations is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Review and validate customs entry data for accuracy and timely clearance.
• Resolve complex customs exceptions and regulatory concerns.
• Manage government agency holds and examinations (CBP, FDA, CPSC, VACIS, CET, Tailgate).
• Interpret regulations and apply them to daily operations and automated processes.
• Prioritize shipment issues to prevent delays and maintain service quality.
• Collaborate with brokers, carriers, and internal teams for seamless clearance.
• Maintain customer-specific SOPs, HTS databases, and compliance requirements.
