Job summary

The Pay-O-Matic Corporation is seeking a part-time Front-Line Customer Service Representative in Astoria, NY. You will assist customers, handle transactions, and promote Payomatic services while floating to nearby stores as needed.

Typical duties include processing checks and money transfers, opening accounts, and maintaining secure, courteous service. Bilingual English/Spanish is required for this role.

Qualifications

• One to two years related experience or equivalent.
• Ability to work independently and as a member of a team.
• Ability to understand and follow written and verbal instructions.
• Professional appearance and demeanor.
• Ability to effectively communicate with people at all levels and from various backgrounds.
• Versatility, flexibility, and willingness to adapt to changing priorities.
• Bilingual language skills are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Identify and respond to customers' needs.
• Process customer transactions including checks, money transfers, bill payments, and prepaid products.
• Open new customer accounts and issue cards securely.
• Complete transactions in a timely and courteous manner.
• Maintain customer accounts with updated contact details.
• Stay knowledgeable about Payomatic products and services.
• Respond to inquiries professionally and courteously.
• Promote Payomatic services and value-added features.
• Follow cash handling procedures and safety policies.
• Keep the work area clean and organized, including restrooms and lobbies.
• Perform opening/closing cash drawer procedures and reconcile transactions.
• Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.
