Pay-O-Matic is seeking a Front-Line Customer Service Representative in Astoria, NY. The CSR handles transactions, assists customers, and supports bank-like services across stores, with weekend/holiday shifts and floating to nearby locations.

The role emphasizes customer satisfaction, safety compliance, and accurate cash handling. This position offers part-time in-person work with competitive benefits and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• One to two years related experience or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Effectively identifies and responds to customers’ needs.
• Processes customer transactions including cashing checks, money transfers, bill payments and selling pre-paid products.
• Opens new preferred customer accounts and issues cards like the inPower debit card.
• Ensures completion of customer transactions in a timely and courteous manner.
• Maintains customer accounts by updating photos, addresses, phone numbers, etc.
• Maintains knowledge of Payomatic’s products and services.
• Responds to inquiries regarding accounts or products in a professional manner.
• Promotes services by offering information on valuable services.
• Performs check verification with Loss Prevention as a tool.
• Maintains safe and secure work environment by following policies.
• Follows all cash handling procedures.
• Keeps the Secure Area clean and organized.
• Performs store cleaning duties including sweeping, mopping, wiping surfaces.
• Empties trash and disposes of garbage according to procedures.
• Cleans and restocks restrooms.
• Performs opening/closing cleaning routines.
• Follows safety and sanitation procedures when handling materials.
• Performs cash drawer opening/closing; reconciles transactions.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
