Job summary

Spire Orthopedic Partners is seeking a Front Desk Specialist in Westerly, RI to greet, register and check out patients in a friendly, efficient manner. This full-time role supports the daily clinical and administrative workflow at Ortho Rhode Island locations.

Hours are Monday to Friday, 8:00 am to 4:30 pm, with some travel between company locations. Eligible candidates will have a high school diploma, proficient Microsoft Office skills, and an understanding of HIPAA regulations.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).
• Knowledge of HIPAA regulations.
• Familiarity with medical terminology.
• Bilingual Spanish or Portuguese a plus.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients in a prompt, courteous and helpful manner.
• Accurately register and update patients’ demographic information.
• Verify insurance eligibility and benefits and document appropriately.
• Obtain and document referrals.
• Triage patients and schedule them appropriately.
• Notify patients of and collect on copays and past due balances.
• Handle check-out procedures including scheduling future appointments and outside testing.
• Other duties as assigned.
