Smile Starters Dental in Hickory, NC is seeking a bilingual Front Desk / FOA to greet families, check in patients, schedule appointments, and handle insurance verifications in a fast-paced pediatric office. The ideal candidate has at least 1 year of medical/dental office experience, fluent Spanish and English, strong computer skills, and a professional, friendly demeanor.

Associate degree or higher preferred.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree or higher.
• Minimum 1 year experience in a medical or dental office.
• Familiarity with NCTracks is a plus.
• Strong computer skills are required.
• Friendly, professional demeanor and excellent communication skills.
• Bilingual in Spanish and English (required).

Responsibilities

• Greet and communicate with patients and families in a friendly, professional manner.
• Check in patients and update paperwork and electronic records.
• Answer incoming calls and respond to patient inquiries.
• Schedule new and follow-up appointments.
• Confirm appointments via phone, text, or email.
• Follow up with patients who miss appointments.
• Check out patients and collect payments; schedule future visits.
• Reconcile procedures with billing; process insurance claims and verify eligibility.
• Interpret for clinical staff and patients as needed.
