Smile Starters, a pediatric dental practice in Hickory, NC, seeks a Bilingual Front Desk/FOA to greet families, check in patients, schedule appointments, and handle calls in a busy office.

The role requires Spanish and English fluency, and at least 1 year of dental/medical office experience. Candidates should be able to interpret for staff and patients as needed, with a friendly, professional demeanor.

Qualifications

  • Associate’s degree or higher.
  • Minimum of 1 year experience in a medical or dental office.
  • Fluent in Spanish and English (required).

Responsibilities

  • Greet and communicate with patients and families in a friendly, professional manner.
  • Check in patients and update paperwork and electronic records.
  • Answer incoming phone calls and respond to patient inquiries.
  • Schedule new and follow-up appointments; confirm via phone, text, or email.
  • Follow up with patients who missed appointments and reconcile procedures with billing.
  • Process insurance claims and verify eligibility; interpret for clinical staff and patients as needed.
