Job summary

Westat, Inc. seeks motivated bilingual Field Interviewers to support MEPS, conducting in-person and video interviews in English and Spanish with households nationwide.

This part-time, non-exempt role includes training in January 2027, travel to assignments, and daily data transmission during work weeks. Applicants must be 18+, fluent in English and Spanish, have a valid driver’s license, access to a insured vehicle, and the ability to work 20 hours per week with occasional evening/weekend shifts

Qualifications

• Be 18 or older with ability to enter confidentiality agreements.
• Fluency in written and spoken English and Spanish.
• Reside in and travel within project areas; occasional overnight travel.
• Available to work January 2027 through December 2030 with 20 hours/week minimum.
• Meet physical requirements: lift up to 20 pounds, walk, climb stairs with equipment.

Responsibilities

• Contact households in-person or by phone to gain cooperation and schedule interviews.
• Complete and transmit electronic data daily during work weeks.
• Perform in-person and computer-assisted video interviews (MEPS) with adults.
• Adhere to data security and confidentiality requirements.
