Job summary

Westat, Inc. is seeking Bilingual Field Interviewers to conduct MEPS interviews in English and Spanish, in-person and via CAI video, with households nationwide. Training in January 2027 is mandatory, with travel to local and occasionally long-distance households.

This part-time, non-exempt role runs across two data-collection periods each year, with evenings and weekends common; applicants must have a valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle, and be able to work 20 hours weekly when assigned.

Qualifications

• Be fluent in both written and spoken English and Spanish.
• Reside in and travel within project-designated areas to contact households and conduct in-person interviews.

Responsibilities

• Conduct in-person and computer-assisted video interviews in English and Spanish with adult household members.
• Contact households in-person and/or by phone to gain cooperation, set appointments, complete interviews, and collect documents.
