Job summary

Westat is seeking motivated individuals to work as Bilingual Field Interviewers for the MEPS project. Interviewers conduct in-person and computer-assisted interviews in English and Spanish with household members, across the United States, with travel to local and occasional long-distance households.

This part-time position runs yearly in two data collection periods, with mandatory training in January 2027. Candidates should be bilingual, able to travel, and meet physical requirements, including

Qualifications

• Fluent in English and Spanish, written and spoken.
• Complete Westat language assessments.
• Live within project areas and travel as needed.
• Able to work 20+ hours/week during data collection.
• Meet physical requirements: lift 20 lbs, walk, climb stairs.

Responsibilities

• Conduct in-person and computer-assisted interviews in English and Spanish.
• Travel to households for data collection, including possible overnight trips.
• Transmit data daily and complete required paperwork and forms.
• Attend mandatory trainings and maintain data security compliance.
