Job summary

The Village in the Greater Hartford, Connecticut region seeks a Bilingual Family Support Specialist for the Quality Parenting Centers (QPC) to provide visitation services, case management, and family coaching. The role collaborates with DCF and community partners to support children and families in need.

The Specialist will conduct assessments, develop treatment plans, and ensure timely documentation across office, home, or host settings. Strong communication and bilingual skills are a plus.

Qualifications

• BA in social work, sociology, psychology or related field.
• Associate's degree with 2 years relevant experience accepted in lieu of bachelor's.
• 2+ years in a comparable human services role preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Provide weekly family visits and utilize Visit Coaching to support parenting skills.
• Perform case management and documentation per program policies.
• Develop and implement treatment plans and discharge planning.
• Coordinate with DCF and community partners to support families.
• Maintain professional records and collaborate with schools, courts and hospitals.
