Job summary

The Village for Families & Children in Hartford, CT seeks a Family Consultant to provide case management, family support, and community-based services under the Connecticut Early Years Program. Services are delivered in homes, childcare settings, community locations, and offices based on family needs.

Connecticut Early Years strengthens childcare services and supports working families through individualized consultation, family engagement, and resource coordination.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Social Work, Sociology, Psychology or related Human Services field preferred.
• 2–3 years of experience in a human services setting preferred.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive assessments and family engagement activities.
• Develop service plans and family contracts.
• Coordinate discharge planning and referrals to community resources and services.
• Provide case management and ongoing support services.
• Collaborate with community partners to support family needs.
