Job summary

The Village for Families & Children is seeking a clinician for Adult Services in the Greater Hartford area. The role includes half-time outpatient clinic work and off-site community-based service delivery, focusing on individuals, groups, and case management.

Strong diagnostic and collaboration skills are essential for client stability and engagement. Requirements include a Master’s degree in a licensed field, CT license, and at least two years post‑graduate outpatient experience.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in social work, psychology, or other licensed counseling degree.
• State of CT license required (i.e. LCSW, LPC, LMFT, Psychologist).
• Minimum of 2+ years of experience postgraduate in an outpatient setting.
• Bilingual/bicultural skills preferred.
• Cultural competency to serve a diverse population.
• Strong diagnostic, assessment and treatment skills for individual, family and group therapy.

Responsibilities

• Direct services may include, but not limited to: Conducts (comprehensive) clinical assessments and engagement.
• Determines DSM V Diagnosis in consultation with supervisor, Medical Director, Psychiatrist, medical provider or designee as needed.
• Develops treatment plans and contracts for services; Implements treatment plans and modify as appropriate.
• Discharge planning, which may include linkages to community support services.
• Provides case management services; completes clinical documentation required by agency and program policies, HIPAA regulations, and funding sources.
• Maintains productivity targets determined by service.
• Participates in Peer Consultation and Quality Assurance Reviews; collaborates with staff to address client needs.
