Job summary

Wheeler Clinic is seeking a Bilingual MDFR Specialist to conduct multidimensional family recovery sessions in homes and community settings across Bristol, CT and surrounding towns. The role focuses on engaging caregivers and children, building support networks and improving family functioning, with MDFR delivered in three phased contact patterns.

The position offers a $4,000 sign-on bonus (half at start, half after one year), a $23.08 hourly rate, and a bilingual stipend of $2,288 yearly, with

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree is required, with preferred degrees in psychology, social work, or related human services field.
• Must have experience working in the substance use treatment field or experience working with adults in a community-based program.
• Valid driver’s license and access to reliable transportation required.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate provision of services by other community professionals.
• Deliver MDFR at the parent/caregiver’s home or in the community with weekly face-to-face contact.
• Assess parent/caregiver’s needs and family situation using DCF screening tools.
• Discuss results with parent/caregiver to develop Recovery Support Plan.
• Facilitate engagement and retention in treatment for parents.
• Provide access to development, educational, and medical services for children.
• Improve parenting skills including co-parenting and teamwork.
• Document clinical activities and maintain client records.
