Job summary

Applitrack in Michigan is seeking a part-time bilingual liaison to facilitate language access and timely communication between home and school for English Learner (EL) families. This on-call, grant-funded role supports a district-wide effort to provide language assistance across multiple locations.

The liaison will work under EL teachers and school administrators, translate at meetings, and help families navigate classroom routines and school events.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 60 college credits; Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Ability to speak another language besides English preferred.
• Experience with linguistically and culturally diverse families.

Responsibilities

• Work under the supervision of EL teacher or administrator.
• Provide transition support to EL students using English or native language.
• Support teachers with information to facilitate academic progress.
• Translate at meetings and conferences when requested.
• Communicate regularly with supervising teacher.
