Job summary

Applitrack is seeking a part-time liaison to engage parents and families during the school day in California. The role involves bilingual English/Spanish communication, coordinating participation in school and district activities, and providing information on district policies and programs.

The position requires flexible hours (10–20 hours per week) with some evenings and weekends for events, and it operates within the Title I & III framework.

Qualifications

• Preferred fluent in English and Spanish, particularly in speaking, reading and writing.
• The majority of work will be during the school day.

Responsibilities

• Contact parents and families through phone calls, meetings at school or district sites in order to encourage participation in school and or district activities and events.
• Provide information to parents concerning district policy and procedures such as registration, PTA/PTN, curriculum, food services, assessment and discipline.
• Contact outside community agencies for the purpose of seeking resources and activities that will increase the participation of families in school and parent training opportunities.
• Support district parent training programs such as Parent University, Family Literacy Night and Family Math Night.
• Provide interpreting services in English and Spanish for parents, teachers, and administrators as related to Title I & III events, such as school and/or district meetings, parent workshops and evening events at schools.
• Translation of school documents designed to inform parents about Title III Family Events; such as letters, bulletins, announcements, articles, flyers, newsletters, food services communication, special education, etc. as
• Maintain accurate records of all activities.
