Job summary

Applitrack district seeks an ELL Educational Assistant to support English Language Learners under the direction of Principals and designees. The role may serve across the district; Spanish speaking applicants are encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities include working with EL students in small groups, collaborating with EL teachers, interpreting for meetings, collecting instructional data, and ensuring clear communication with families.

Qualifications

• Ohio Educational Aide Permit required or obtainable before start.
• Experience with English Language Learners preferred.
• Experience working with students in small group settings.
• Willing to work independently to support EL students.
• Willing to collaborate with teachers to support EL students.
• Assist with parent/school meetings, interpreting, and arranging interpreters as needed.
• Must have the full support of the Building Principal, Director of Special Education, and Assistant Superintendent

Responsibilities

• Assist instructional support for English Language Learners.
• Collaborate with EL teachers to provide academic support.
• Collect and maintain data for instructional support.
• Demonstrate effective communication with students, staff and parents.
• Interpret/arrange interpreters for parent meetings and written communications.
• Other duties as assigned by administration
