Job summary

El Hogar del Niño, now part of Brightpoint, seeks a Home Visitor to support Early Head Start families in the Chicagoland area. You will assess needs, set goals with families, and foster parent-child development through reflective dialogue and planned activities.

Responsibilities include collaboration with Family Support Specialists, maintaining records, and engaging families in educational and community initiatives. Remote work is available 1–2 days per week.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education (preferred) or related family services field with ECE credits.
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred.
• Two years' related outreach or casework experience preferred.
• Valid driver's license and daily access to a reliable vehicle required.

Responsibilities

• Adheres to performance standards and Brightpoint policies.
• Implements Home Visiting model with fidelity and keeps certification current.
• Writes weekly lesson plans and conducts age-appropriate activities with parents and children.
• Assists families in obtaining services and supports referrals.
• Involves parents in developmentally appropriate expectations and activities.
• Maintains child files and required documentation within timelines.
• Engages parents in curriculum planning and community involvement.
