Job summary

Brightpoint is seeking an Early Head Start Home Visitor to support families in their home environments. The role focuses on parenting skills, child development, and creating a learning-rich home setting for infants and toddlers.

The position requires an Associate Degree in Education or Social Services, strong communication skills, and the ability to work with diverse families. Some evenings may be needed to accommodate parent schedules.

Qualifications

• Must possess minimum of an Associate Degree in Education, Social Services or related field.
• Work experience in Early Childhood Education and/or home visiting preferred.
• Strong oral (speaking and listening) and written communication skills.
• Must have good knowledge of Word and Excel and be able to work in an online database.
• Ability to work outside the office with minimal supervision.
• Ability to maintain the confidentiality of communications and records.
• Must obtain the Home Visitors CDA within 12 months of hire.
• Must become certified in First Aid and CPR within twelve (12) months of employment.

Responsibilities

• Work with parent(s) and pregnant women to provide a safe and secure environment for children to learn and grow.
• Screen infant/toddler using ASQ within 45 days of enrollment.
• Assist families in obtaining a medical and dental home and maintain EPSDT health schedules.
• Complete family self-sufficiency screen and help families set goals.
• Develop warm, respectful relationships between child, parent and staff.
• Conduct ongoing child development assessments with parents and plan developmentally sequential activities.
• Implement Brightpoint values at all times.
