Job summary

Casa Central’s Early Learning Academy is seeking a Home Visitor to provide quality home-based services to families with children from prenatal to age five. The role emphasizes collaboration with parents, developmentally appropriate activities, and adherence to program standards.

The Home Visitor will conduct screenings, plan weekly lessons, and support families with health, nutrition, and social services while traveling across the city of Chicago.

Qualifications

• A.A. Degree in Child Development, Early Childhood Education, or related field (21+ CD/ECE credits) or equivalent.
• Gateways Infant/Toddler Credential and/or Early Childhood Education Credential at Level 3+ or Home Visiting CDA credential.
• If credentialing not met, a professional development plan to achieve required credential within 12 months.

Responsibilities

• Develop weekly home-based lesson plans with parents based on each child’s assessment and family needs.
• Conduct developmental and social-emotional screenings with parents/caregivers.
• Travel throughout Chicago to reach families from diverse backgrounds.
• Plan and implement developmentally appropriate home-based activities following the PAT curriculum.
• Maintain confidential family files and complete data entry in agency systems.
