Coalition for the Homeless in New York seeks a Bi-Lingual Eviction Prevention Case Manager to deliver direct services to tenants behind on rent and at risk of homelessness. You will conduct weekly hotline screenings, maintain client meeting schedules, and develop case plans to resolve arrears.

The role works within Crisis Services, reporting to the Eviction Prevention Program Director and coordinating with partner agencies to maximize financial assistance and access benefits, housing court

Qualifications

• AA/AS in human services or GED/high school diploma with relevant social services experience.
• Prior case/care management experience required.
• Spanish fluency required.

Responsabilités

• Assess prospective clients and determine immediate eviction risk via weekly hotline.
• Develop and implement case plans to resolve rent arrears and secure financial assistance.
• Assist clients in navigating housing court and understanding eviction prevention services.
• Gather documentation for grant processing and coordinate with relevant service providers.
• Maintain client records and case management notes; ensure files are up to date.
• Collaborate with Crisis Services and other Coalition departments and legal service providers.
