Job summary

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Desire to pursue career improvement; paraeducator role experience preferred.
• Ability to translate between English and another language; strong communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Translate orally between native language and English for students, parents, and staff.
• Translate written materials between languages, including forms and notices.
• Assist teachers with instruction for English Language Learners and tutor ELL students when needed.
• Serve as liaison between parents, students, and the school; visit homes as required.
• Maintain confidentiality of students and records; adhere to school policies.
