Academy ISD is seeking a Bilingual/ESL Educational Aide for the ECC in Little River-Academy, Texas. Under the supervision of a certified teacher, you will provide instructional assistance and support language development in English and Spanish.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Associate Degree - Technology related field.
• Bachelor’s Degree - Technology related field (preferred).
• Master’s Degree - Technology related field (preferred).
• CCNA (preferred).
• CCNP (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Provide instruction to students under the direction of the teacher; work with individual students or small groups. Provide one on one tutoring as assigned.
• Assist teacher in preparing instructional materials and classroom displays.
• Assist with administration and scoring of objective testing instruments or work assignments.
• Help maintain a neat and orderly classroom.
• Help with inventory, care, and maintenance of equipment.
• Help teachers keep administrative records and prepare required reports.
• Provide orientation and assistance to substitute teachers.
• Provide instruction follow-up and support for language development as needed.
• Supervise students during lunch, bus, and playground, and monitor behavior.
• Provide language interpretation as requested.
• Maintain confidentiality of student and personnel information.
