Job summary

Western Heights Public Schools is seeking an Emergent Bilingual (ELL) Paraprofessional to support EB students in the regular classroom and pull-out settings. This Tier I paraprofessional assists with translation, lesson planning for EB students, testing, parent contact, and daily classroom duties under the supervision of the EB teacher and principal.

Requirements include a high school diploma or GED, completion of ParaPro or WorkKeys, or 48 college hours; bilingual ability preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent required.
• Para Pro or WorkKeys assessment or 48 hours of college completed.
• Bilingual preferred for EB/ELL support.

Responsibilities

• Parent contact and conferences coordination with EB teacher.
• Assist in regular classroom with translations and lesson planning for EB students.
• Support testing, scheduling, and data collection for state assessments.
• Assist EB teacher in pullout and inclusion settings and in daily lessons.
• Participate in professional development to maintain a positive learning environment.
