Job summary

Voices College-Bound Language Academies in San Jose seeks an inspiring Dual Immersion Elementary Teacher who can work independently under the Principal. You will plan instruction, supervise interns and volunteers, and foster a learning environment that advances student progress toward academic goals.

Required: CA Credential (Multiple Subject or intern) and bilingual authorization; fluent English/Spanish; strong communication and collaboration.

Qualifications

• CA Credential: Multiple Subject or eligible for intern credential.
• Knowledge of California Common Core Standards.
• Excellent oral and written communication in English and Spanish.

Responsibilities

• Develop lesson plans aligned with Voices guidelines and provide individualized/small group instruction.
• Plan learning activities appropriate to grade levels and student abilities.
• Create an atmosphere that inspires achievement and a love of learning.
• Manage classroom routines and student behavior to ensure engagement.
• Establish a culture of high expectations and college preparation.
