Voices College-Bound Language Academies in Richmond, CA seeks an Education Specialist (SPED) Teacher to support students in reading, writing, language and math through Voices-approved curriculum and IEP-focused instruction.

The role involves designing curriculum, administering assessments, managing the IEP caseload, and collaborating with teachers, parents, and administration to promote academic achievement and college readiness in a dual-immersion environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required and CA Education Specialist Credential (Mild to Moderate) or eligibility for an emergency permit.
• Bilingual authorization (BCLAD, BCC, ELD, LDS, etc.) required for permanent roles.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills in English and Spanish.
• Knowledge of California Common Core Standards.

Responsibilities

• Provide educational instruction as outlined in the IEP and monitor its implementation.
• Use data analysis tools to drive instructional practices, re-teaching strategies, and interventions.
• Coordinate IEP caseload and conduct IEP meetings.
• Collaborate with teachers and parents to support student progress.
