Job summary

Voices College-Bound Language Academies seeks a devoted Dual Immersion Middle School Teacher (grades 6–8) to inspire and support students under the Principal’s supervision. The role emphasizes quality instruction, accelerated progress, and collaboration with staff, families, and the community.

You will lead lessons in math, reading, science and history, ensure IEP supports where applicable, and foster a high-expectation college-prep culture while aligning with Voices guidelines.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• CA Credential: Multiple Subject or eligible for intern credential.
• Valid bilingual authorization (BCLAD or equivalent, BCC, ELD, or LDS, etc.).
• Knowledge of California Common Core Standards.
• Excellent English/Spanish communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop lesson plans aligned with Voices Best Practices and provide individualized instruction.
• Plan learning activities for subject, grade level, abilities and backgrounds.
• Incorporate multiple subjects including math, reading, science and history units.
• Create a positive classroom culture that fosters academic achievement and a love of learning.
• Manage classroom routines and student behavior to keep students engaged.
