Job summary

Voices College-Bound Language Academies is seeking a Dual Immersion Elementary Educator in San Jose, CA. You will plan engaging lessons, implement bilingual instruction, and monitor student progress to foster high academic growth.

Under leadership supervision, you will collaborate with staff, mentor interns, and promote inclusive, standards-based learning in both English and Spanish. The role is full-time on-site with growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• CA Credential: Multiple Subject or eligible for an intern credential.
• Valid bilingual authorization (BCLAD or equivalent, BCC, ELD, or LDS).
• Knowledge of all K-5 subjects per CA CCSS.
• Commitment to Voices Academies’ mission and equity.
• Ability to work independently and with flexibility.
• Native-like or near-native proficiency in English and/or Spanish.
• Strong organizational skills and basic tech proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Create a positive learning environment and plan engaging lessons.
• Implement the dual-language model with fidelity and equitable access.
• Plan lessons aligned with CA CCSS and DOK; differentiate as needed.
• Monitor student progress using MTSS and data-informed planning.
• Collaborate with families and staff to support learners.
• Mentor Associate Teachers and student teachers when applicable.
• Maintain classroom routines and manage learner behavior.
