Dual Immersion Academy is seeking an Elementary Dual Language Immersion Teacher (Spanish Focus) to deliver rigorous instruction in a Spanish/English DLI model. The role emphasizes bilingualism, language development, and high academic achievement for a diverse student population.

The teacher will collaborate with teams, plan 180-day and unit plans, and maintain a positive, culturally responsive classroom. This full-time position includes standard benefits and a focus on equity and inclusion.

Qualifications

• Valid Utah Teaching License (or ability to obtain).
• Bilingual proficiency in Spanish and English.
• Experience or training in Dual Language Immersion (DLI) preferred.
• Strong classroom management and instructional skills.
• Commitment to equity, inclusion, and culturally responsive teaching.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement 180-day plans, unit plans, and daily lesson plans aligned with Utah Core/Common Core standards.
• Deliver instruction in the Dual Language Immersion model (Spanish/English), ensuring language allocation fidelity.
• Engage students in standards-based learning that promotes content mastery and language development.
• Use diverse instructional strategies to meet multilingual learners' needs.
• Assess and use data to inform instruction and interventions.
• Maintain a positive, structured, culturally responsive classroom environment.
• Collaborate with grade-level teams and administration; participate in PLCs and staff meetings.
