Job summary

Compass Connections in Robstown, Texas, is seeking a senior educational facilitator to lead the educational program for unaccompanied children. You will teach one or more subjects, supervise staff, and ensure compliance with federal and state standards.

Requirements include a bachelor’s degree, ESL/TESOL certification, CPR/First Aid, and at least three years of teaching with one year of supervisory experience. Fluency in English and Spanish is required, with daily travel as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required; TESL/TESOL certification or other accrediting body required and additional training for unaccompanied children.

Responsibilities

• Meet all federal and state regulatory guidelines and standards applicable to this position.
• Hire, train, supervise and provide performance feedback for program personnel.
• Select, acquire, store, issue and inventory classroom equipment, materials and supplies.
• Collaborate with teachers and administrators to evaluate program effectiveness and recommend improvements.
• Communicate and enforce rules for behavior and procedures for maintaining order among students.
• Monitor program data and report to Compass Connections administration and Office of Refugee Resettlement.
• Participate in service expansion planning, budget preparations and long/short-term planning for the program.
• Maintain confidentiality in all areas of child and program operations.
