Job summary

Compass Connections seeks an experienced educational facilitator to lead the instructional program for unaccompanied children. You will teach one or more subject areas, collaborate with educational services staff, and ensure culturally competent curriculum aligned with program expectations.

You will travel daily between locations, meet deadlines, and maintain confidentiality while upholding Compass Connections standards and policies.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree and ESL/TESOL certification; eligible to meet governing authority requirements.
At least three years of teaching and supervising experience, including one year in a supervisory role.
First aid, CPR, and Emergency behavior intervention certifications.

Responsibilities

Meet federal and state regulatory guidelines applicable to this position.
Hire, train, supervise and provide performance feedback for program personnel in accordance with agency policies and requirements.
Select, acquire, store, issue and inventory classroom equipment, materials and supplies for the educational program.
Complete notification and reporting requirements in accordance with contract and regulatory standards.
Collaborate with other teachers and administrators to evaluate the program and make improvements.
Communicate and enforce rules for behavior and maintain order among students.
Travel daily between locations.
Foster Care Programs - support and recruit foster parents.
