Job summary

We Are CASA Inc. invites an Education Intern to join the Education Department and support youth development and community education programs.

The intern will assist with weekly workshops, ESOL outreach, and leadership activities; work primarily in Spanish and English; and gain hands-on experience in grassroots organizing within a nationally recognized nonprofit. The internship runs Sep 2026–May 2027 for 10 hours per week, with afternoon slots at High Pointe High School and the CASA Multicultural

Qualifications

• Must be fluent in Spanish and English.
• Comfort with basic computer programs, especially Google Suites.
• Ability to work independently or in a team.
• Extremely detail oriented and organized.
• Respectful of all cultures in a multicultural environment.
• Committed to progressive social change and CASA’s mission.

Responsibilities

• Assist Youth Program Coordinator in weekly workshops on career readiness and leadership.
• Utilize popular education techniques to foster an engaging learning environment.
• Mentor students to support academic and professional success.
• Maintain consistent communication and confidentiality with youth information.
• Conduct outreach via calls, texts, and emails in Spanish (primarily) and English.
• Support ESOL staff with student registrations and events.
• Remain flexible for additional duties as needed.
