Job summary

Seattle Public Schools seeks a Career Ladder position to support ESL/Bilingual delivery and multilingual services district-wide. This stipend role complements the regular teaching salary by helping design and deliver school-based professional development, co-teaching, and planning to support multilingual learners in general classrooms.

The position reports to the Director of Multilingual Services and emphasizes collaboration with principals, coaches, and teachers to implement inclusive

Qualifications

• Master's degree in ESL/Bilingual field or related services.
• Washington state teaching certification or eligibility.
• Minimum three years of teaching or related service experience in ESL/Bilingual Education.

Responsibilities

• Support ESL/Bilingual delivery models within district strategic plans and state/federal mandates.
• Provide ongoing support to ESL/Bilingual teachers, coordinate staff development and in-service trainings.
• Assist principals with student placements and program decisions considering cultural linguistic factors.
• Facilitate collaboration between classrooms and families; promote joint professional development.
• Assist central admin with data dissemination and input into program changes.
